Privacy Policy

"AiDEPT for Abacus" (the "App") is an educational app provided by AiGENT & Co. ("we", "us", or "our") where children build numbers by moving beads on a 100-bead soroban (abacus). The App's core practice feature can be used without creating an account or signing in. Signing in is available as an optional way to restore purchases or continue on a new device. This Privacy Policy describes how we handle information we collect through your use of the App.

As the operator is a sole proprietorship, the proprietor's legal name and address will be disclosed promptly upon request via the contact address above.

2. Information We Collect

The App's practice feature can be used without signing in. If you choose to sign in, we collect the following information.

Google or Apple (Sign in with Apple) account sign-in information (email address [or Apple's private relay address, if you use Hide My Email], display name)
An identifier used to identify your account (user ID)
Your child's age mode (preschool or elementary school). If you are signed in, this is stored with your account
Subscription status (whether you have an active subscription and its term). Payments are processed by Apple, and we use RevenueCat to verify your purchase status. We do not collect your payment details (e.g., credit card information)

If you do not sign in, your child's age mode is stored only on your device and is never sent to our servers.

On the other hand, to manage the daily free-use limit, regardless of whether you sign in, we store the following on our servers (database):

A device identifier and that day's usage count. This is never linked to information that could personally identify you, such as your name or email address
To obtain permission to write this record to our servers, we automatically issue an anonymous user ID when you first use the App, without any action on your part. Nothing else is stored under this ID, and it is automatically deleted about 30 days after it is issued (a new one is then issued automatically). The free-use record is tracked by your device identifier, so it carries over even when this anonymous ID is reissued. It is never linked to your name, email address, or other personal information

3. Purposes of Use

To manage your sign-in state and carry over your subscription status after restoring a purchase or switching devices
To set and display your child's age mode (stored with your account if signed in, or on-device otherwise)
To manage the daily free-usage limit and to provide features to paid (subscription) plan users
To respond to inquiries

4. About In-App Usage Logging

The App has an internal mechanism for logging anonymous usage events (such as screen navigation and operation errors), but as of September 2026 this logging is not transmitted off the device to us or any third party. If we connect this to an analytics backend in the future, we will update this policy to describe exactly what is sent.

5. Disclosure to Third Parties

We do not disclose the information we collect to third parties except in the following cases.

Google Cloud Platform (Firebase): In addition to the sign-in feature, information is sent to our service provider to record the daily free-use limit (see "2. Information We Collect" above; this happens regardless of whether you sign in).
Apple Inc. (App Store) / RevenueCat: Purchase information is processed via Apple and RevenueCat to handle payment for paid plans. If you are signed in, we share the identifier (user ID) used to identify your account with RevenueCat to verify your purchase status and to analyze usage. We do not directly hold or obtain payment information such as credit card details.
Where disclosure is required by law

The App does not use any third-party advertising.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is primarily intended for children under 13 and is designed to be used together with a parent who has reviewed and agreed to this policy. Before use, a parent confirmation screen is shown, and the child can only proceed once the parent has checked the consent box. Signing in uses the parent's own Google or Apple account. Information relating to a child is always handled under the parent's management and consent.

7. Data Retention Period

Your child's age mode (stored with your account if signed in) is retained for as long as the account exists. For how to delete your account, see the Account Deletion page. When you delete your account, the information stored with your account is deleted.

When you delete your account, we request deletion of your account ID (user ID) and purchase history held by RevenueCat as part of the account-deletion operation; you do not need to contact us separately.

If you used the App without signing in, your child's age mode is stored only on your device, so uninstalling the App removes it. However, the daily free-use record (device identifier and that day's usage count) is also stored on our servers regardless of whether you sign in, so it is not removed by uninstalling alone. 9. Changes to This Policy

This Policy may be revised without notice due to changes in applicable law or the App's services. The revised Policy takes effect once posted on this page.
